RARA Lake is a beautiful, Majestic and the biggest Lake in Nepal, situated at an altitude of 2990 m, spread over an area of 10.8 sq km in the fare western region; Karnali zone of Nepal. RARA is a paradise lake with pristine water surrounded by mesmerizing hills and alpine forest. It is getting popular and one of the top destinations for visitors who loves mysterious nature and want to indulge in to the insane beauty of nature.
Rara Lake lies in the heart of RARA National Park. RARA National Park is the smallest but tremendously rich in scenic beauty and biodiversity, as it is home of more than 500 different kinds of flowers and herbs including Rhododendron (national flower), Black Juniper, Oak, west Himalayan Sprouce, Himalayan Cypress etc., 214 birds species including Danfe (National bird) and 20 different mammals species. This national park is in the Mugu District; a mountainous district of the western region of Nepal, it ascends form 1800 m to 4480 m forested by conifers and spreads over 106 sq km.
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu - Kohalpur. Overnight at Kohalpur Banke District.
Day 02: Drive Kohalpur - Kalikot. Overnight at Kalikot.
Day 03: Drive Kalikot - Rara. Overnight at Rara.

Details itinerary
Day 01:
Heading Kathmandu to Kohalpur, drive 13 hour by private jeep/bus, lunch on the way. Have local delicious inner at hotel and overnight stay at Kohalpur; a rapidly developing municipality of Banke, lies at the lowland (plain area) of western region of Nepal.
Day 02:
Early morning breakfast, and drive to Kalikot, lunch on the way. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Kalikot.
Day 03:
Eearly morning after breakfast, drive to Mathillo Mili Rara, lunch on the way. Drive past through Sinja Valley and Pandu Gufa for breath taking scenery. Trek around two and half hour to RARA Taal. Dinner and overnight at hotel in front of beautiful Rara Taal.
Day 04:
RARA Lake Excursion: full day at RARA, wake up early, enjoy breakfast and head for full day sightseeing at Rara. You walk around, indulged in to the natural wonders, enjoy boating, trekking, hiking around. Have lunch at hotel, dinner and overnight stay at hotel at the bank of beautiful Taal.
Day 05:
After breakfast, trek to Mathillo Mili Rara for around two and half hour, Lunch on the way. Drive back to Kalikot on same day. Dinner and overnight at Kalikot Hotel.
Day 06:
After breakfast, drive back to Kohalpur, Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Kohalpur.
Day 07:
After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Bulbul Taal and Kakre Bihar, Lunch on the way. Drive back to Kathmandu with everlasting memories of the trip.
